Worldguide Health & Fitness Forum http://www.worldguide.com/Fitness/hf.html

Looking to get your abdomen firm, or at least counter holiday feasting? Visit the Worldguide Health & Fitness Forum, an attractive and easy-to-navigate fitness resource. Though still under construction when I checked, it already had plenty of interesting stuff.

The site is divided into five "forums." Clicking on the Anatomy forum brings up an impressive illustration of the human body, with the major muscles identified. I thought maybe I could click on each muscle and get more info about it, but no dice. I appreciated the Strength Training forum, though, with its detailed, step-by-step instructions for muscle enhancing exercises. The Cardiovascular exercise section (subtitled "up the trail to a healthy heart") was still under construction, but featured text discussing cycling, rowing, running, and cross-country skiing.

How-to-do exercises aren't all you'll find here. There's an Eating Well section with a nicely composed picture of the food groups, complete with thorough explanations of the six essential nutrients. No recipes, though. Sports injury care and misconceptions about body fat and diet are found in the Wellness forum. And coming soon is Highplanet, an online magazine with sections on nutrition and music (with reviews of ambient, house, trance and groove cuts), plus a chat area.

This site is so nicely done you'll probably want to visit other areas of Worldguide Online, the sponsor of these pages, including its mountain bike and wilderness areas.
