Shenandoah - Virginia
Descriptive:
Located in the Blue Ridge mountains, the soft, rolling hills of Shenandoah are a part of the Appalachian mountain range. The term "Shenandoah" comes from an old Indian word meaning "daughter of the stars". The gentle valleys and hills here seem almost fluid, rolling away in almost any direction as you look out across the land. Ancient hemlocks, more than four hundred years old, can also be found here.

Fishing is permitted in the Park, and Shenandoah sports some of the finest trout fishing in the world in beautiful mountain streams. A fishing license is required.
